The Condition of Florida follows a set of recommendations, as required by OBRA 1987, to ensure the quality of care that CNAs provide while doing their work in long-term amenities. Regulations are integrated throughout conditions for the benefit of the person or individual as well as for the CNAs. The Office of Health Services Office is responsible for granting, maintaining, and tracking capable CNAs. In Florida, many Extensive Phrase Care (LTC) amenities offer many work for CNAs who would like to experience life in the healthcare industry.

Requirements to work as a CNA in California
Pass both the written and skills portions of the CNA State Exam
Physical and mental efficiency in performing the job
A good employment record
Has an active CNA certification

Salary Average for Certified Nursing Assistant in California
Between $19,991 – $35,647
Typically $8.66 – $10.87 per hour (hourly rate will increase, based on experience)

Training program criteria in California
California CNA programs must consist of at least 150 training hours (both classroom and clinical instruction). Some state-approved training programs may differ when it comes to number of hours in classroom settings and practical training.

Applying for Reciprocity in California
If an approved CNA moves to California from their home state, they must have an active CNA certification and good employment record. With this, you may qualify for certification in California without taking the CNA training evaluation. Then, to be fully qualified to work in California, you will need to submit the required documents.
