Job Summary
Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care for skilled, rehabilitation and long term care
patients. Assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the supervision of a staff nurse in charge

Essential Job Duties
1. Performs tasks to ensure that residents are bathed and groomed appropriately.
2. Takes and records vital signs on all patients as assigned.
3. Provides for all personal care to patients.
4. Turns patients and assists in ambulation as needed.
5. Prepares patients for meals and assists with feeding.
6. Transports patients to other departments as indicated.
7. Observes and reports any changes in physical, emotional or mental status to appropriate nurse.
8. Maintains a clean bed and environment for the patient.
9. Performs other duties of a Certified Nursing Assistant as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Education High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of accredited Nursing Assistant training program.
Experience One year experience as a Nursing Assistant preferred.
Licensure/Certification State Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
CPR Certification.
Skills Above average communication skills and the ability to relate effectively
to the public and health care professionals.

Working Conditions
Pleasant inside environment.
Moderate physical effort to include walking and standing for long periods of time required.
Lifting, pushing or pulling more than 50 pounds or equivalent required.
Moderate mental concentration and stress.
Subject to exposure to infectious conditions and minor hazards such as muscle sprains, cuts, and bruises.
