Congratulations! You have completed the formation of the CNA, certified nursing assistant passed their exams, and is now ready for the next step. Where do we go from here?

Naturally, it’s time to start your job search. The relatively rapid completion of CNA compact course can leave you feeling Unready to take such an important role. Trust yourself and you have learned. You have the knowledge necessary to perform the following steps and you will have the insulation in your new career through the health professionals who will monitor your work.

Start your job search on the web. Today, many schools post openings on their Web sites or search engines for online job order to attract prospective employees not only in the region but also those who are ready to go and pursue a career as a licensed practical nurse. Make sure you submit your curriculum vitae and other relevant information for the CNA plants in the region to make sure you’re on the call list, the next time a nursing home, private clinics or Hospitals are hiring CNA.

The last step is the interview. If you have been on the list for a position, you will be contacted to come for an interview. This can be a nerve-wracking proposition, even for adult students who have spent some time in the workforce. Do your best to stay confident and maintain a pleasant, calm demeanor throughout the interview. The interview will be a telling sign of how you can handle the pressure – something that has become too common in this particular job. Rely on what you learned and answer questions clearly and concisely. Ace the interview and you’re ready to begin your first job as a CNA!
